Rafael was married to Refugia known as Chata as seen on
the photo to the left. His sister Margarita, in the picture
below, was also known as Chata. Confused me for a
moment deciphering who not only one Chata was but, two!.
Chata is a nickname, of course, that means "pug nose" in
Spanish.
This is a brother that my immediate family did not know was
Miguel's brother until I visited Gilberto Figueroa, a grandson
of Miguel's, in May of 2006 and he gave me the photo that is
on the home page. Not only found a brother, but, a sister,
too.

August 2008-I met the baby standing in the
wicker chair. He is Jose Cordova Robles
who lives in Douglas, Arizona with his
precious daughter Sylvia. He is 98 years
old and even today you can see the young
Jose from the photos that I have seen of

have possibly come at this time in history to meeting Rafael
than by meeting his son Jose? Was a pretty amazing
afternoon.
