Eulogia Robles Munoz b: 1870 d: Ukn

This is the sister known as Chata which
plagued me for months because no one
seemed to known her given name. Until
this photo that Harvey gave me, that is.
Finally, a name! Margarita. OOPS! See
note below.
Have not found out anything about her
from the census records. Maybe she
lived in Mexico and only came to visit her
sister Gertrudis every once in awhile.
Don't know is she was ever married, had
children, or where she is buried. She
does look to be older than Gertrudis to
me.
Does anyone know anything about her?
Yes, Vivian knows, of course. Vivian's
mother remembers that Eulogia (Chata)
was older than sister Gertrudis and had
the Robles trademark light colored eyes.
She lived in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico.
Where, apparently, she is also buried.
She helped to raise her niece Refugia, a
daughter of her widowed brother
Francisco. Refugia was nicknamed
Cuca. Refugia married a man by the last
name of Burrola and they had a son that
they named Raymundo.
Raymundo lived in Sierra Vista, AZ and he
actually held Robles family reunions up
until his death two years ago. What I
would have given to have attended one of
those! He may still have children living in
Sierra Vista....think I better try to look
them up and give them a call.

Chata's name is Eulogia; not Margarita. Several people who remember
visiting her in Magdalena identified her as Eulogia who was married to
Angel Munoz and had a son nicknamed 'El Pelon'; otherwise known as
Gilberto. Apparently, she only had two sons, Gilberto and Manuel. Several
of the family recall that Gilberto came to Arizona to work and think he may
have died in the U.S, but that his body was returned to Mexico for burial.
Have yet to verify that bit of information.
Below is Eulogia's marriage certificate. She was 20 and Angel was 25
years old when they married.
